For Redlands City Council

Marc Shaw for Redlands City Council - District 4

Marc Shaw

Law Enforcement Chief & Planning Commissioner

I’m running for City Council to be the independent, common-sense problem solver that Redlands deserves. The City Council shall protect the city’s health, safety, and welfare. Our local leadership is failing, as politicians focus on their self-interests.

As your councilmember, I will be your voice, fighting to bolster public safety, cut government waste, and create well-paying jobs. I understand these issues, because I’ve served our community as a law enforcement officer for over 30 years, currently as chief of a statewide organization. I also serve on the Planning Commission and have led the Redlands Bicycle Classic for a decade.

As your City Councilmember, I will prioritize:

  • Reducing Crime: Leveraging my law enforcement experience, I will enhance community policing, improve response times, and ensure safe neighborhoods.
  • Addressing Homelessness: I will advocate for increased funding for mental health services, affordable housing, and partnerships with nonprofits to reduce homelessness and public encampments.
  • Creating Economic Opportunities: Focus on attracting quality businesses with well-paying jobs.

I’m proudly endorsed by County Supervisor Dawn Rowe, San Bernardino County Superintendent Ted Alejandre, current and former elected officials, and law enforcement throughout San Bernardino County because they know I’m committed to doing what’s right for Redlands, not political agendas.
